Fermi data analysis hands-on session

On Sunday (March 14), from 14:00 to 19:00, a hands-on tutorial session covering basic analysis methods for data obtained by the Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope has been organized at the Saas-Fee course venue by the Fermi Science Support Center (FSSC). The program consists of viewgraph presentations and hands-on use of the analysis tools.

Prerequisites for participation

To follow this session, you need

1. a laptop computer with a valid installation of the Fermi Science Tools,
2. test data sets downloaded onto your laptop computer. They can be obtained from the FSSC site

In addition, it is desirable that you

1. have an installation of the HEAdas software tools on your computer,
2. that you have read the basic introductory documentation prior to the workshop, and ideally, you have already tried a few analysis examples beforehand.
