Leader of the Star formation group in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Geneva.


Research Interests:

- Young stellar objects, pre-main sequence stars, accretion disks, star formation, cool stars, brown dwarfs
- Magnetic activity, coronal heating, flares, chromospheric evaporation (Neupert effect), coronal structures
- Coronal abundances, (inverse)-First Ionization Potential effect, opacity effects, plasma densities
- Other topics: Hot stars, supersoft sources, neutron stars, microquasars
- X-rays, extreme ultraviolet, radio, infrared, millimeter
- XMM-Newton, Chandra, Suzaku, Spitzer, Herschel, IRAM, ALMA, VLA, ATCA, IXO, BeppoSAX, EUVE



Member of the Taurus Molecular Cloud Survey with XMM-Newton and Spitzer.
